Étienne Home Pays it Forward at Record-Breaking Vinnies CEO Sleepout

A good night’s sleep is a luxury that can be easily taken for granted by those of us who are lucky enough to have a roof over our heads and a comfortable place to sleep every night. However, we know that this is not a reality for all Australians.

That’s why at Étienne Home we felt that it was so important for us to take part in this year’s 2021 Vinnies CEO Sleepout.

For one-night each year, the Vinnies CEO Sleepout sees hundreds of CEOs, business owners and community leaders sleep outdoors in an effort to raise awareness and show support for the 116,000 Australians who experience homelessness.

While raising much-needed funds for homeless members of our community, the CEO Sleepout also provides an opportunity for leaders to draw attention to the different kinds of homelessness that people face every night. The event also calls upon government to better ensure that every Australian has a safe, secure and stable place to sleep.

Étienne Home contributed at this year’s CEO Sleepout by donating 100 of our best-selling At Last pillows. At the event, we ran a charity stall where the first 100 participants were able to purchase our high-quality pillows for $100 each. We then donated every dollar from our stall directly to Vinnies’non-profit services, which provide essential food, accommodation, education, counselling, employment and health programs for homeless Australians.

After the Sleepout, every At Last pillow purchased at the event was directly donated to a person who is experiencing homelessness or sleeping rough eitheroutdoors or in an improvised dwelling.

At Étienne Home we believe that everyone deserves a safe place to call home and to have a good night’s sleep every night. We could not be prouder to have been a supporter at this year’s exceptional Vinnies CEO Sleepout event, which raised a record of more than $8.19 million to go towards Vinnies homelessness services.
